Powerful hardware

The S87L features powerful, completely silent and energy-efficient hardware. The quad-core Cortex-A55 CPU (AML S905X4) and 4GB DDR4 RAM memory enable absolutely smooth operation, even for demanding applications and games. Even under full load, the power consumption is just a few watts. You also have almost 32GB of free storage available.

ANDROID

With the S87L you have access to the full Android OS 11 version, which is particularly characterized by its stability and speed. As usual on a smartphone or tablet, operation is simple and intuitive. Now you can finally access the Internet comfortably from your television. The interface has been optimized for use on a TV.

Apps

With the Play Store (formerly Android Market) you have a free choice of more than 1 million Android apps available. Simply install your favorite app such as YouTube, Skype or games such as PUBG or Fortnite and much more. Even apps that are not available can be installed manually using an .apk file.

Mediaplayer

Enjoy your films in high-resolution 4K & Full HD quality. The S87L supports playing 4K UHD videos (including features such as HDR10+, BT.2020 / VP9 Profile 2) from a hard drive/SD card or from the home network. It is a very good media player that supports many video and audio formats (5.1 surround formats DTS/Dolby). It goes without saying that it can also display your photos and images in high quality.

Video codec

As one of the few Android TV boxes on the market, the S87L supports the brand new AV1 video codec. The codec enables strong data compression, making videos even smoother to watch and with a smaller size and data consumption.

Mediacenter

KODI (formerly XBMC) brings the hugely popular Media Center to Android! With the pre-installed KODI version you have full access to the extensive media interface, with everything that goes with it: automated download of movie covers & detailed film information, genre sorting, etc. You also have access to Internet portals such as YouTube, Netflix or thousands of other media libraries.

The S87L offers numerous features that comparable devices do not offer: root access (SuperSU) possible, automatic frame rate/resolution switching, portrait/portrait mode possible, touchscreen support (HID) via USB, autostart function (automatic startup when power is supplied), automatic start of an app after startup & loop function optionally possible (with additional app), fanless 24x7 operation, extremely low power consumption (a few watts), WLAN antennas integrated, navigation bar & notification bar (each can be hidden), USB debugging. The S87L is perfect as a digital signage (DS) player or PC POS system in an industrial environment.

Variety of connections

Despite the extremely compact dimensions, this Android TV box has all the important ports available to you in addition to Bluetooth 5.1 & Wi-Fi 5 (2.4/5GHz): USB 3.0 + USB 2.0 port, HDMI 2.0, S/PDIF, and a Gigabit LAN connection. There is also a microSD card slot on the side (max. 32GB), which is ideal for images on a memory card, for example.

Airmouse included

Included directly in the scope of delivery: a simple air mouse with gyro sensor. Control the S87L easily and comfortably from your sofa with hand movements (similar to Wii controller). A microphone for voice commands is also directly integrated.
